Title: - The Scarecrow

Granted great powers, I protect the land
heart loyal to master, not to fields.
Standing watch under sun and moon,
with flag unfurling in my hands
I chase away both birds and beasts,
angry that farmers won’t rise to my call.
I’ve never stepped out on the road to fame,
seeking reward only in a little dew or rain.
